Is breathe crossfit the place for you?
Our vision is to build a thriving community where people become stronger, healthier, and more confident-supported by coaches and members who show up, work hard, and have fun doing it together. Our mission is to help people move better, get stronger, and feel their best through expert coaching, intentional fitness and nutrition, and a welcoming, high-accountability community that meets them where they are and pushes them forward. Our core values that essentially drive every decision we make include creating a welcoming community where anyone who is willing to work hard and be coachable will move well, safely, and with intention will see results and have fun doing it!
our vision
When gyms closed down in 2020 because of the pandemic, I was scared to get fat. Like that’s what everyone should be worrying about during a worldwide pandemic right? I need in-person interactions. I am not a remote kind of person. I like seeing and talking with other people. I was afraid I was going to lose my progress without seeing my coaches. At the time, no one knew how long gyms were going to be closed for. The gym I was at was pregnant with their first child on the way and were forced to make a difficult decision for their family and closed its doors permanently. It was time for me to get focused. I decided from that point on I was going to earn my certifications and train myself because it now was my duty to bring the community back together again. That continues to be our core value today, community. A strong community of people who all want to be healthy and improve their lives is a powerful thing. Working out by yourself in a cold basement or a crowded gym sucks. I want a place that’s filled with people lifting weights and laughing between sets. Chatting about our weekends during the warm up. And meeting up with each other outside the gym creating friendships that never would have happened if it weren’t for the gym. That’s what we’ve created at Breathe.
Our Mission
If you’ve never used a barbell before, you’re missing out. Nothing is more badass then lifting 100+ pounds and dropping it on the ground. The confidence you get from lifting heavy weights is powerful. It pours into everything else you do outside the gym. We use dumbbells too and a whole bunch of other equipment but we’re not weighting for the bro scrolling through social media weighting to get our next set in. We’re also not weighting for the buzzer to beep and using the same 10 pound dumbbell in a circuit class that makes us feel like we got a good workout in but doesn’t actually get us stronger. We do advanced technical movements BUT it doesn’t matter if it’s your day 1 or your day 100, or day two-thousand (yes, we have members who have been with us that long – what does that tell you?) every class, every movement – it’s all broken down step-by-step every single class. Moving well, safely, and with proper technique is important to us at Breathe. It’s what keeps you healthy and pain free, it’s what gets you stronger (if you move with shitty technique, you’re gonna hit a plateau eventually if you don’t get injured first), it’s THE way at Breathe. We’re going to be relentless on your form because we care about you as a person. Not because we’re trying to help you make it to the CrossFit Games (we’re not the right place for you if that’s your goal fyi), because we want to see you tomorrow and help you get the results you’re coming to us for. We meet you where you’re at and push you slightly outside your comfort zone. There’s no screaming in your face to work harder. We’re also not cheerleaders with microphones saying some weird crap to motivate you. We’re somewhere in the middle.
Our Core Values
I’d love to tell you we can help anyone. We can’t. We can’t help those who just aren’t coachable. We can help those who are willing to show up, work hard, slow down when we tell them too, push it when we know they can. If that sounds good to you, book your free intro here .
